How the Princess Cruise Price Guarantee Works

• Eligible bookings: made between December 16, 2024 and December 15, 2025, for any 2026 or 2027 cruise.
• What triggers it: a publicly available lower fare on Princess.com for an identical booking.
• What you receive: onboard credit equal to 120% of the difference, or another make-good agreed with Princess.
• Deadline: the claim must be submitted before the final payment due date of the original booking.
• Response: Princess asks guests to allow up to ten business days.

Onboard Credit Versus Cash

Getting 120% of the difference sounds better than getting 100%, and it can be, if you would spend onboard credit anyway on drinks, specialty dining, shore excursions or gratuities. Onboard credit has limits, though: it is tied to that one booking and generally cannot be cashed out. A cash price reduction lowers what you actually pay and can reduce later payments.
