It also has firm limits. Here is what Celebrity’s U.S. terms said when we read them in October 2026, in plain language.
What the Celebrity Best Price Guarantee Covers
The policy applies when Celebrity itself is offering a lower fare for the same ship, sail date and stateroom category you booked, through its own channels — its website or call center. Requests can be made by calling Celebrity or through your travel advisor. What you receive depends on timing:
- Before the final payment date: a price adjustment to the lower fare, or a complimentary stateroom upgrade instead; if you have already paid in full, a refund of the difference.
- Within 24 hours of booking: the same options, even if final payment has already been made.
- After final payment, booked more than 24 hours earlier: a possible complimentary upgrade only, subject to availability.
The Conditions to Know
Fare type
A booking made on a refundable deposit can move to either fare type; a non-refundable deposit booking can only apply the same fare type.
Upgrades
Offered only into a higher category whose price is equal to or less than what you are paying now, and only if a cabin is available.
Excluded promotions
Celebrity notes that certain promotions are excluded, so a sale fare may or may not qualify.
Changes
Celebrity reserves the right to modify or cancel the guarantee at any time without notice.
Celebrity publishes different versions for other countries; the British and Irish policy, for example, is far narrower. If you live outside the U.S. or Canada, read the version for your market.
Using It Well
Most of the value comes from checking the fare before final payment, which on most Celebrity sailings falls months before departure. Note the fare and what it includes when you book, then re-check from time to time, especially during sale periods. If a lower fare includes a different package of extras, compare the whole bundle, not just the headline number.
