How Carnival’s Early Saver Price Protection Works
Under the terms, your total price, including government taxes and fees, can be lowered to the best current advertised price for a like category stateroom. There are no downgrades: you cannot move to a cheaper category to capture a lower number. Carnival honors a request only when the reduction comes from a lower advertised total price, and the protection applies to bookings made in U.S. dollars.
Early Saver is offered on selected sailings, and the terms we read referred to a specific sailing period, so check that it is available on the cruise you want before relying on it.
What Is Excluded
- Group rates, membership programs and charters.
- Select promotional fares.
- Travel agent rebates or promotions not offered by Carnival to the general public.
- Ancillary services such as vacation protection, air, transfers and prepaid gratuities — and any increase in their cost.
One condition deserves special attention: if you reprice to a newer promotion, you accept its terms. That can mean losing a specific cabin you chose, an onboard credit from your original booking, or other features. A lower fare is not automatically a better booking.
